Yesterday I talked about the magical power of coaching by Timothy Gallwey who broke all the rules and would get a complete novice to play tennis well enough in 15 minutes using basic simple rule of learning he created himself. I have also talked about Michel Thomas who taught Hollywood stars to learn a new language and speak fluently in just 2 days. You may ask if this has anything to do with business but I would say a big YES because I have adopted these two great men’s method for my own business and my clients’ too. The results have been phenomenon in all areas. As an executive coach, I look for the hint of genius in my client and I help them uncover it effortlessly. It is not different from teaching tennis or language; the key is not to teach but to help them learn how to learn. I am not even playing with words just take it literally. ‘Live as if you were going to die tomorrow, learn as if you will live forever’ Mahatma Gandhi. I love this quote from Gandhi but if you must learn, why not learn faster, so that you may have time to enjoy the result of your learning. This is where you need an enabler, a mentor or coach to guide you to learn. Tomorrow I am going to talk about Elon Musk who attributed his phenomenon success to learning.
